Mechanical draughtsman

We are looking for a Mechanical draughtsman to join our team at Prerana Placement Service to design and execute functional, aesthetic and budget-friendly spaces. The role involves planning layouts, selecting materials, overseeing construction work and coordinating with vendors and clients. The position offers an in-hand salary of ₹20000 - ₹30000 and opportunities to work on creative design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on 2D and 3D drawings using design software.

Job Requirements:

The minimum qualification for this role is Diploma and 2 - 5 years of experience. Applicants must be proficient in tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp or 3Ds Max and have a strong knowledge of design, detailing and stone/marble.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman to prepare accurate engineering drawings and technical documentation for automobile manufacturing operations. The candidate will work closely with Mechanical Engineers and Production Teams to create, modify, and maintain detailed mechanical drawings, assembly layouts, fabrication drawings, and 3D models.

Key Responsibilities

1. Blueprint Creation & Technical Drawings

• Prepare detailed mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and schematics based on engineer sketches and design inputs.

• Develop accurate scale drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.

• Generate manufacturing and production drawings as per company standards.

2. CAD Software Operation

• Create and modify 2D drawings using AutoCAD.

• Develop 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks, Creo, or similar CAD software.

• Maintain drawing revisions and drawing databases.

3. Design Documentation

• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM).

• Calculate dimensions, tolerances, material quantities, and component specifications.

• Maintain engineering documentation and technical records.

4. Design Revisions & Updates

• Revise existing drawings based on production feedback, testing results, and engineering changes.

• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Design departments for drawing modifications.

• Ensure all drawings comply with manufacturing standards and quality requirements.

5. Manufacturing Support

• Assist production teams in interpreting technical drawings.

• Support troubleshooting of design and fabrication-related issues.

• Ensure drawings are practical and suitable for manufacturing processes.

Educational Qualification

• ITI Draughtsman Mechanical (2 Years) OR

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR

• Relevant Mechanical Design/Drafting Qualification

Experience

• 2 to 5 Years of experience in Mechanical Drafting, Design, or Manufacturing Industry.

• Experience in Automobile, Engineering, Fabrication, Machinery, or Manufacturing Industry preferred.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D Drafting)

• Knowledge of SolidWorks / Creo / CATIA or equivalent 3D CAD software

• Strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering Drawings

• Knowledge of GD&T, Tolerances, and Manufacturing Processes

• Good spatial visualization and technical drawing skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
