Job Title: Mechanical Draughtsman

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Mechanical Draughtsman to prepare accurate engineering drawings and layouts for solar power projects. The candidate will support the engineering team by creating fabrication drawings, structural layouts, and installation drawings for rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software.

Develop fabrication drawings for solar module mounting structures.

Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, assembly drawings, and shop drawings.

Coordinate with design, project, and execution teams to ensure drawing accuracy.

Revise and update drawings as per site conditions and engineering changes.

Maintain drawing records and documentation in an organised manner.

Ensure drawings comply with engineering standards and project specifications.

Assist in preparing Bills of Materials (BOM) and fabrication details.

Support the engineering team during project execution and installation.

Required Qualifications

Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Draughtsmanship, or a related field.

1–3 years of experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman (solar industry experience preferred).

Freshers with strong AutoCAD skills may also apply.

Required Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D).

Knowledge of mechanical drafting standards.

Understanding of fabrication drawings and sheet metal/structural detailing.

Basic knowledge of solar mounting structures is an advantage.

Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Skills

Experience with SolidWorks, SketchUp, or other 3D CAD software.

Familiarity with solar EPC projects and structural design concepts.

Knowledge of MS Office applications.
