📝 Job Summary:

The Site Engineer – Measurement & CAD Drafting is responsible for taking precise on-site measurements of buildings, interiors, or structures and accurately converting them into CAD drawings. The role requires a strong civil/architectural understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to produce dimensionally accurate floor plans and elevations with zero tolerance for errors.

🎯 Key Responsibilities:

🔹 1. On-Site Measurement

• Visit project sites to take detailed and accurate physical measurements.

• Record wall lengths, heights, openings, levels, and all relevant dimensions.

• Identify any site irregularities or discrepancies and document them.

🔹 2. AutoCAD Drafting

• Create precise 2D drawings based on site measurements, including:

  • Existing floor plans

  • Sections & elevations

  • Site layouts

• Update and revise drawings as per site changes or client feedback.

• Maintain drawing standards and layer consistency.

🔹 3. Coordination & Documentation

• Coordinate with design and project teams for handovers and site clarifications.

• Submit measurement reports and verified CAD drawings on time.

• Maintain records of revisions, versions, and measurement logs.

✅ Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and drafting standards

• Proficiency in manual and digital measurement tools (laser, tape, disto, etc.)

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Basic understanding of civil/architectural drawings and site conditions

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently at site locations

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Draftsmanship

• 1–4 years of experience in site measurement and CAD drafting

• Prior experience in interior fit-outs, residential/commercial projects is preferred

• Must have a portfolio or samples of accurate as-built drawings

🔧 Tools/Software Knowledge

• AutoCAD (Mandatory)

• MS Excel or Word (for reporting)

• Laser measuring tools / Disto devices

• Bonus: SketchUp or Revit (optional)
