Site Supervisor – Residential Interior Project (Contract, about 2 months)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Site Supervisor to run day-to-day work on a 4 BHK home interior project. You will make sure the right material and the right labour are on site, that work follows the design phase by phase, and that the homeowner knows exactly what is happening every day.

Please Note

• This is a project-based engagement. It is not a job with Nirmiksha Interior Design Studio.

• You will work for the homeowner (client), who pays your salary directly.

• Nirmiksha provides the phase-wise design and gives you access to its site-reporting system. Nirmiksha may contact you for site data and updates.

Salary and Duration

• Salary: ₹15,000 per month, paid directly by the homeowner.

• Duration: about 2 months. If the project runs longer, up to 3 months, the extra days are paid day-wise at the same rate (₹500 per day).

• Working days: Monday to Saturday, as per site timings.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Material management

◦ Track every material the homeowner orders, from the suppliers the homeowner chooses.

◦ Confirm delivery dates with suppliers and make sure material reaches the site on time.

◦ Check each delivery for the right item, quantity and specification, and report any shortage or damage the same day.

◦ Keep a record of all material received at site, and follow up on delayed deliveries so work does not stop.

2. Labour coordination

◦ Coordinate daily with the labour teams sent by the vendors: carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, false-ceiling and tiling teams.

◦ Make sure the right team is on site on the right day, and keep a daily attendance record.

◦ Explain each day's work to every team clearly, as per the design.

3. Phase-wise execution

◦ Nirmiksha provides the complete design phase by phase, showing what has to be done in each phase.

◦ Plan each phase with the vendors and labour, and get the work executed exactly as per the design.

◦ Check that the work planned for each phase is completed on time, and flag any shortfall early.

◦ Make sure each phase is complete and correct before the next one starts.

4. Quality checks

◦ Check the basic quality of work every day: measurements, levels, alignment and finishing.

◦ Make sure nothing is being done differently from the design, and stop any deviation early.

◦ Point out mistakes to the team concerned and follow up until they are corrected.

5. Solving site problems

◦ Spot anything holding up work: material not arrived, labour absent, a doubt in the design, or a site condition.

◦ Get it resolved quickly by contacting the right person: homeowner, supplier or vendor.

6. Reporting to the homeowner

◦ Daily report: work done today, labour on site, material received, problems faced and plan for tomorrow, with photos.

◦ Weekly report: progress against the phase plan, work planned for next week and pending issues.

◦ Record all updates on Nirmiksha's site system. Training is provided.

7. Communication

◦ Be the single point of contact between the homeowner, the material suppliers and the labour teams.

◦ Keep everyone informed and aligned so that no confusion or problem arises on site.

◦ Share site data and updates with Nirmiksha whenever asked.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience as a site supervisor in interior fit-out, residential interiors or civil work.

• Able to read 2D drawings (layout, elevation, electrical and false ceiling) and take measurements with a tape.

• Basic knowledge of interior work: carpentry, plywood and laminate, electrical points, false ceiling, tiling and painting.

• Comfortable with a smartphone: WhatsApp, photos and simple apps.

• Speaks Gujarati and Hindi, and can read basic English.

• Organised and punctual, calm with people, and follows up until the job is done.

• Own two-wheeler preferred.

• ITI or Diploma in Civil or Interior Design preferred, not mandatory.

• It is a Full Time వాస్తుశిల్పి job for candidates with 1 - 3 years of experience.
