Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:
Conduct engaging and effective theoretical and practical classes on interior design principles, concepts, and history.
Teach relevant design software, including AutoCAD (2D & 3D), SketchUp, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and 3ds Max/V-Ray.
Cover core topics like Space Planning, Furniture Design, Material Selection, Colour Theory, Lighting Design, and Construction Techniques.
Student Assessment & Guidance:
Develop, administer, and grade assignments, projects, and examinations.
Provide constructive and personalized feedback to students to help them improve their design skills and portfolio.
Mentor students on their final projects, model making, and portfolio development to meet industry standards.
Practical & Industry Engagement:
Organize and supervise practical activities, workshops, and site visits for real-world exposure.
Stay updated with the latest interior design trends, materials, and technologies, incorporating them into the curriculum.
Assist the placement cell by providing industry-relevant training and preparing students for interviews.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and grades.
Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure curriculum consistency and quality.
Assist in curriculum development and updates as per industry requirements.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience as a practicing Interior Designer or Architect.
Prior experience in teaching or training students in Interior Design/CAD software is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Expert proficiency in industry-standard software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop is usually a must-have).
Strong manual drafting and sketching abilities.
In-depth knowledge of building materials, construction documentation, and local building codes.
