Position Overview

We are looking for a practical and creative Interior Designer to handle our interior design and decoration projects. In this role, you will be responsible for creating design plans, selecting finishes, and overseeing the actual "interior work" on-site. You will bridge the gap between creative concept sketches and actual physical installation by working closely with clients, contractors, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Space Planning & Layout Design

• Measure spaces on-site and create accurate 2D floor plans, furniture layouts, and ceiling plans.

• Develop 3D models and renderings to give clients a realistic preview of the final space.

• Propose smart layout solutions to optimize storage, lighting, and movement within a room.

2. Material Selection & Detailing

• Select color schemes, wall treatments (paints, wallpapers, paneling), and flooring materials.

• Design custom built-in furniture, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, and millwork with clear dimensions.

• Choose and source loose furniture, lighting fixtures, curtains, fabrics, and decorative hardware.

3. Execution & Contractor Coordination

• Prepare detailed drawing sets (electrical points, plumbing, false ceilings) for site execution.

• Visit execution sites regularly to ensure contractors (carpenters, painters, electricians) are building according to the design plans.

• Solve unexpected structural or spatial problems that come up during the physical construction phase.

4. Client & Budget Management

• Present concepts and material samples confidently to clients, refining details based on their feedback.

• Estimate material quantities and help prepare project cost sheets.

• Keep track of timelines to ensure the interior work finishes on schedule.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ years of hands-on experience in residential or commercial interior design and site execution.

• Education: Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.

• Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD (for technical layouts) and 3D modeling tools (SketchUp, V-Ray, or 3ds Max).

• Practical Knowledge: Strong understanding of carpentry details, modular kitchens, false ceilings, and electrical layout planning.

• Communication: Ability to explain technical designs clearly to carpenters/site workers, and present aesthetic ideas elegantly to clients.

Shift Timing & Work Schedule

• Shift: Day Shift (Full-time)

• Hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)
