Interior Designer

Role Overview We are looking for an Interior Designer with 3–5 years of experience in luxury/high-end residential projects. The ideal candidate should be design-oriented, detail-focused, and technically strong, with the ability to handle large projects from concept to execution. The role requires team management, site coordination, and close collaboration with vendors, contractors, and consultants. Key Responsibilities Design & Detailing • Develop and deliver concept presentations, mood boards, and material palettes. • Prepare working drawings, joinery details, furniture layouts, and GFC packages. • Ensure design integration with services (HVAC, lighting, electrical, plumbing, home automation). • Maintain quality and consistency in design deliverables across all stages. Project Management • Handle multiple projects independently, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. • Manage a small team (2–3 junior designers/draftsmen), delegating and reviewing work. • Coordinate with consultants (MEP, structural, lighting, landscape) as required. Site & Vendor Coordination • Conduct site visits to oversee quality, detailing, and execution. • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and artisans for custom furniture, finishes, and installations. • Troubleshoot site issues and provide quick design/technical solutions. Client Interaction • Attend client meetings, present design concepts, and address queries confidently. • Build and maintain professional relationships with clients. JD : Interior Designer Skills & Attributes Required • Strong design portfolio in high-end residential interiors. • Technical proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign (Revit knowledge is a plus). • Good understanding of services (MEP, lighting, HVAC, home automation). • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Strong project management and organisational ability. • Leadership skills to mentor and guide a small team. • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and solution-driven. Qualifications & Experience • B.Des / Diploma in Interior Design / B.Arch from a recognized institute. • 3–5 years of professional experience in interior design. • Demonstrated experience with luxury residential projects. Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Quality of design and detailing delivered. • Ability to manage large projects independently. • Client satisfaction and repeat business. • Timely completion of drawings and site deliverables. • Smooth coordination with site teams, vendors, and contractors. • Growth and development of junior team members under supervision.
