Job Description:
Role Summary:
Responsible for preparing detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and rate analyses for furniture projects. The role ensures accuracy in quantity take-offs, cost control, and supports the sales/project teams with timely and competitive estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Study client drawings, specifications, and requirements to prepare accurate BOQ for furniture projects.
2. Perform quantity take-offs from AutoCAD drawings and architectural layouts.
3. Prepare detailed cost sheets including material, hardware, finish, labor, transport, and overheads.
4. Coordinate with procurement team to get updated material prices and vendor quotes.
5. Analyze costs and prepare competitive estimates for tenders and inquiries.
6. Assist in value engineering by suggesting cost-effective alternatives in material or process.
7. Maintain a database of material prices, labor rates, and project costing for reference.
8. Liaise with design and production teams for technical clarifications.
9. Support sales/BD team in preparing commercial offers and quotations.
10. Ensure estimates are aligned with company margins and profitability goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma / B.Tech / B.Arch in Interior Design, Civil, or related field.
2–5 years’ experience in furniture/interior fit-out estimation.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and costing software/tools.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
Knowledge of modular furniture manufacturing and materials preferred.
