Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Diploma in Architecture candidate to join our team as a Junior Architectural Draftsman. This role is ideal for a candidate who has recently completed a diploma in architecture and is eager to begin a professional career in architectural drafting, design development, working drawings, and project coordination.
The selected candidate will work closely with architects, interior designers, and senior team members to assist in preparing drawings, revising plans, developing design details, and supporting ongoing architectural and interior projects. The role offers an excellent learning opportunity for someone who wants to grow in the field of architecture, drafting, and design documentation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drafting and Drawing Support
Prepare 2D architectural drawings such as floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings under the guidance of senior architects.
Assist in the preparation of working drawings, submission drawings, and presentation drawings.
Make revisions and corrections in drawings as instructed by the design team.
Ensure drawings are properly labeled, dimensioned, and organized according to office standards.
2. Design Assistance
Support architects and designers in developing architectural and interior design concepts.
Assist in translating conceptual ideas into practical drawings and layouts.
Help in preparing basic space planning options and furniture layouts.
Contribute to material selection presentations, mood boards, and concept sheets when required.
3. Documentation and Office Support
Organize project folders, drawing sheets, and soft copies systematically.
Assist in printing, plotting, and formatting drawings for presentations or submissions.
Maintain proper file naming, version control, and documentation practices.
Support the team in preparing BOQs, schedules, and basic project-related documentation, if required.
Required Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD. Revit not mendatory but an advantage.
Basic understanding of architectural drawings and drafting standards
Familiarity with 2D drafting, dimensions, annotations, and layouts
Basic knowledge of MS Office such as Word and Excel
Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, or other design software will be an added advantage
Core Skills
Good understanding of basic architectural concepts and construction drawings
Willingness to learn and take instructions positively
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a team environment
Good time management and discipline in completing assigned work
Basic communication skills in English and/or local language

Eligibility Criteria
Diploma in Architecture completed

Candidates with internship, training, academic project, or freelance drafting exposure may have an added advantage
