Construction Site Supervisor

Core Job Responsibilities

• Daily Site Oversight: Managing daily operations, assigning tasks to workers and subcontractors, and monitoring progress to ensure adherence to schedules.

• Safety Enforcement: Implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols, conducting daily briefings, and ensuring all personnel use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Quality Control: Inspecting workmanship and materials to ensure they meet technical drawings, project specifications, and local building codes.

• Resource & Material Management: Ordering supplies, tracking inventory, and coordinating the delivery and safe storage of construction materials.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintaining accurate site records, including labor hours, progress reports, and incident logs. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Most employers prefer a bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or architecture.

• Key Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Familiarity with project management software such as Auto Cad, MS Project.

  • Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and local safety standards.

• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, diplomacy, effective communication, and advanced problem-solving to resolve on-site conflicts or delays.
