Job Title: Junior Solar Design Engineer

Company: Seven Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd.

Location: Surat, Gujarat

Experience: 0–2 years ( Fresher with relevant training can apply)

Job Summary:

The Junior Solar Design Engineer will support the design and engineering of solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role involves assisting in system layout, technical calculations, and preparation of design documentation while working closely with senior engineers and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solar System Design

Assist in designing solar PV systems including rooftop and ground-mounted projects

Prepare layout drawings using AutoCAD or similar tools

Perform basic electrical calculations (DC/AC sizing, cable sizing, inverter selection)

Support in creating single line diagrams (SLD) and system schematics

2. Technical Analysis

Use software tools like PVsyst, Helioscope, or equivalent for energy generation estimates

Conduct shadow analysis and optimize system performance

Assist in site assessment data analysis

3. Documentation & BOQ Preparation

Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and project files

Assist in Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation and material selection

Maintain proper records of design revisions and approvals

4. Coordination & Support

Work with project execution and procurement teams for design-related inputs

Support senior engineers in resolving technical issues during installation

Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and client requirements

Requirements:

Basic understanding of solar PV systems and electrical concepts

Familiarity with AutoCAD, Sketchup and MS Office

Knowledge of PV design software (PVsyst/Helioscope) is an advantage

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to learn quickly and work in a team

Preferred:

Internship or training in solar design or EPC companies

Exposure to rooftop or ground-mounted solar projects
