Role Overview
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Jewelry CAD Designer to join our production team at Bais Godam, Jaipur. The ideal candidate will translate hand sketches, render concepts, and modern luxury design ideas into precise 3D CAD models optimized for casting, gemstone setting, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
3D Modeling: Create detailed, technically accurate 3D jewelry models using CAD software (Matrix, Rhino, MatrixGold) based on designer sketches or design briefs.
Production Readiness: Ensure models are fully optimized for 3D printing (CAM), casting, metal weight targets, and stone setting (Polki, Kundan, Diamond, Colored Gemstones).
Technical Precision: Calculate accurate stone dimensions, prong placements, metal thickness, and shrinkage allowances for seamless manufacturing.
Collaborative Design: Work closely with the master craftsmen (karigars), design lead, and production manager to refine pieces for structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
Rendering & Presentation: Generate high-quality 3D photorealistic renderings for client approvals and internal reviews.
Design Modifications: Revise and modify existing CAD designs based on feedback from production or sales teams.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Software Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Rhino, Matrix / MatrixGold, JewelCAD, or similar industry-standard jewelry software.
Jewelry Manufacturing Knowledge: In-depth understanding of fine jewelry construction, casting processes, gemstone settings, and gold/platinum weight calculations.
Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in fine jewelry CAD design (experience with traditional Jaipur bridal/polki/kundan or high fine jewelry is a plus).
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional eye for scale, proportion, geometry, and design aesthetic.
Communication: Strong ability to communicate design specs clearly to the workshop
