Job Title: Sr. Engineer Design – Bengaluru Region

Location: Bengaluru, India

Job Description:

As a Senior Engineer Design at Tool Works in the Bengaluru Region, you will have the

opportunity to work with an exceptionally talented team with extensive experience in

product design, product prove out, and engineering. Your role will expose you to various

cross-functional team activities that will aid in your skill development, and you should be

prepared to take ownership of your assigned tasks. Your primary responsibilities will

include:

• Design and development of cutting tools, including brazed tools.

• In-depth understanding of component drawings from different sectors such as

Aerospace, Automotive, Mining, Energy, Die & Mould, and Medical.

• Comprehensive study of component drawings before creating concept drawings.

• Selection of tool geometries based on application, component material, and the type

of machine available with the customer.

• Conducting customer visits for Design Approval Process (DAP).

• Coordinating with various internal departments including Production, Planning, and

Application.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• 4-8 years of relevant experience.

• Mechanical Engineering degree from a reputable institution.

• Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD, NX, and preferably Master CAM.

• Previous experience in cutting tool design.

• Innovative problem-solving skills to reduce dependencies.

• Strong multitasking abilities and a results-oriented mindset.

• Experience in designing special round tools will be highly recommended.
