Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented HVAC AutoCAD Designer / Draftsman for preparing technical drawings and layouts related to Air Conditioning, HVAC, Ducting, Piping and Ventilation systems.

The candidate should have good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and should be able to understand HVAC drawings, architectural plans, site requirements and prepare accurate working/shop drawings.

Key Responsibilities

1. HVAC AutoCAD Drawings

• Prepare detailed 2D HVAC drawings using AutoCAD.

• Prepare HVAC floor plans and equipment layouts.

• Prepare ducting layout drawings.

• Prepare supply air, return air and fresh air layouts.

• Prepare exhaust and ventilation layouts.

• Prepare AC piping/refrigerant piping layouts.

• Prepare equipment installation drawings.

• Prepare shop drawings and working drawings.

• Prepare sections, elevations and detailed drawings.

• Prepare as-built drawings.

2. Ducting Drawings

• Prepare duct routing as per approved design.

• Show duct sizes, dimensions and levels accurately.

• Prepare supply, return, fresh-air and exhaust duct layouts.

• Show diffuser, grille, louver and damper locations.

• Prepare duct details and installation details.

• Modify duct routes according to actual site conditions.

3. AC & Piping Drawings

Prepare drawings for:

• VRF/VRV systems

• Ductable AC

• Split AC

• Cassette AC

• Package AC

• AHU

• FCU

• Refrigerant piping

• Chilled-water piping

• Drain piping

Show pipe sizes, routes, connections and equipment locations properly.

4. Drawing Coordination

• Coordinate HVAC drawings with architectural and structural drawings.

• Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting and other MEP services.

• Identify clashes and modify HVAC routes accordingly.

• Coordinate with HVAC engineers and project/site teams.

• Incorporate comments and revisions from Project Manager/Engineer/Consultant.

5. Site Coordination

• Visit project sites whenever required.

• Take site measurements.

• Verify actual site conditions.

• Modify drawings according to site requirements.

• Coordinate with site supervisors and technicians.

• Prepare revised drawings based on site changes.

6. Drawing Documentation

• Maintain proper drawing files and revisions.

• Maintain drawing numbering and revision records.

• Keep project drawings properly organized.

• Prepare final/as-built drawings.

• Ensure drawings are issued within the required timeline.

• Maintain drawing standards and templates.
