ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

Iridium Infotech is looking for an experienced, creative, and technically proficient Architectural Designer to join our growing real estate, construction, and design team.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 5 Years of Relevant Professional Experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop innovative architectural concepts for residential, commercial, institutional, and real estate projects.

• Translate client requirements, site conditions, budgets, and project objectives into practical architectural solutions.

• Prepare detailed concept plans, space planning, floor plans, elevations, sections, working drawings, and construction drawings.

• Develop complete architectural drawing sets for execution and coordinate drawing revisions.

• Prepare detailed architectural layouts, furniture layouts, façade designs, staircase details, toilet layouts, kitchen layouts, door-window schedules, and other architectural details.

• Create high-quality 3D models, walkthroughs, renders, and architectural visualizations for client presentations.

• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, interior design, landscape, and construction teams.

• Conduct regular site visits to understand site conditions and monitor design implementation.

• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, fabricators, and site engineers.

• Review drawings and ensure proper execution as per approved design and specifications.

• Identify design conflicts and provide practical solutions during project execution.

• Ensure architectural designs comply with applicable building bye-laws, development regulations, local authority requirements, NBC provisions, and project guidelines.

• Assist in material selection, façade development, finishes, detailing, and design specifications.

• Prepare and maintain drawing registers, revisions, documentation, and project records.

• Attend client meetings, understand feedback, present design proposals, and incorporate approved changes.

• Support project teams during tendering, estimation, procurement, and construction stages wherever required.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, accuracy, and deadlines.

• Take ownership of assigned projects and independently drive design development from concept → drawings → coordination → execution.

DETAILED SKILLS REQUIRED

Architectural Software & Technical Skills

• AutoCAD: Advanced proficiency in architectural drafting and preparation of detailed working drawings.

• Revit: Knowledge of BIM-based architectural modelling, documentation, families, views, sheets, and project coordination.

• SketchUp: Ability to create accurate 3D architectural models and develop design concepts.

• 3ds Max: Knowledge of 3D modelling and architectural visualization will be an advantage.

• Lumion / Enscape / V-Ray: Ability to produce realistic architectural renders, walkthroughs, and presentations.

• Strong understanding of 2D drafting, 3D modelling, rendering, visualization, and architectural presentation techniques.

Architectural & Design Skills

• Strong understanding of architectural planning, space planning, circulation, functionality, proportions, and aesthetics.

• Ability to develop residential and commercial layouts based on site dimensions, orientation, setbacks, access, parking, services, and client requirements.

• Strong knowledge of floor plans, elevations, sections, façade design, staircase planning, toilet planning, kitchen layouts, and architectural detailing.

• Understanding of building materials, finishes, façade materials, doors, windows, flooring, ceilings, lighting, and architectural elements.

• Ability to develop practical and visually appealing designs while considering budget, constructability, and site conditions.

• Strong understanding of construction detailing and execution methodologies.

• Ability to read and interpret structural, MEP, interior, landscape, and other consultant drawings.

• Knowledge of building bye-laws, development control regulations, NBC, local authority norms, FAR/FSI, setbacks, height restrictions, parking requirements, and basic approval requirements.

• Understanding of sustainable design, natural lighting, ventilation, energy efficiency, and climate-responsive architecture will be an advantage.

Construction & Site Coordination Skills

• Strong understanding of how architectural designs translate into actual construction.

• Ability to identify discrepancies between drawings and site execution.

• Experience coordinating with civil contractors, structural consultants, MEP consultants, site engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.

• Ability to prepare site-related architectural details and clarification drawings.

• Capability to conduct site measurements and verify dimensions.

• Understanding of construction materials, workmanship, finishes, and quality standards.

• Ability to provide quick and practical design solutions for site-level challenges.

• Knowledge of BOQ, material specifications, tender drawings, and quantity-related documentation is preferred.

Visualization & Presentation Skills

• Excellent ability to convert ideas into strong visual concepts.

• Ability to create professional mood boards, material boards, concept presentations, 3D views, renders, and client presentations.

• Strong understanding of architectural composition, colour, texture, lighting, materials, and visual hierarchy.

• Ability to present design concepts confidently to clients and internal teams.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating completed architectural projects, drawings, 3D visualizations, and design development.

Communication & Management Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to understand client requirements and convert them into clear design deliverables.

• Strong coordination and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively with architects, engineers, designers, contractors, and management.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors before drawings reach execution.

• Ability to work under deadlines without compromising design quality.

• Good documentation and file-management practices.

• Professional attitude, accountability, ownership, and willingness to learn.

QUALIFICATION

B.Arch / Diploma in Architecture / equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in architectural design, real estate, construction, or related projects.
