An Architect plans, designs, and oversees the construction of buildings, blending creativity with technical knowledge to turn client visions into functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing structures, managing projects from initial concept to completion by creating detailed drawings, coordinating with engineers, ensuring code compliance, and supervising construction to meet design specifications and budgets. Key duties involve client consultation, design development, preparing construction documents (like blueprints), collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (engineers, contractors), managing budgets and timelines, and conducting site visits for quality control. 

Core Responsibilities:

• Client & Concept Development: Meet with clients to understand needs, develop initial concepts, and present design proposals.

• Design & Documentation: Create detailed drawings, floor plans, renderings, and specifications using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit).

• Coordination: Work with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, contractors, and public agencies.

• Compliance: Ensure designs meet zoning laws, building codes, and safety standards.

• Project Management: Manage budgets, timelines, project teams, and bids for projects.

• Construction Oversight: Visit sites to monitor progress, resolve design issues, and ensure adherence to plans. 

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong 3D visualization and technical design skills.

• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interaction.

• Understanding of building materials, construction technologies, and project management. 

Work Environment:

• Primarily office-based for design and meetings, with frequent site visits to construction projects.
