Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented TDS & ITR Executive with practical experience in TDS compliance, Income Tax Return (ITR) preparation and filing, and related accounting activities. The candidate will be responsible for handling tax compliance work for clients, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely filing of statutory returns.

Candidates with experience in a CA firm or a taxation and accounting consultancy will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Calculate TDS on various payments and ensure deductions are made as per applicable tax provisions.

- Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns, including Forms 24Q, 26Q, and 27Q, wherever applicable.

- Handle TDS challan preparation, payment coordination, reconciliation, and verification.

- Prepare and file Income Tax Returns (ITR) for individuals, businesses, and other applicable entities.

- Verify financial documents, income details, deductions, and supporting records required for ITR filing.

- Assist in resolving TDS mismatches, correcting return errors, and handling TDS-related notices and compliance requirements.

- Download and verify Form 26AS, AIS, and TIS data for income tax reconciliation, wherever applicable.

- Maintain proper documentation, tax records, and client files.

- Assist in basic accounting, bank reconciliation, Balance Sheet, and Profit & Loss statement preparation as required.

- Support GST return filing and other tax compliance activities when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 1–2 years of practical experience in TDS and Income Tax Return filing.

- Good knowledge of TDS provisions, applicable sections, rates, deductions, and due dates.

- Practical experience in TDS return preparation and filing.

- Knowledge of ITR forms, income computation, deductions, and return filing procedures.

- Understanding of tax reconciliation.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant tax filing portals or accounting software.

- Basic accounting knowledge and familiarity with financial documentation.

- Ability to manage multiple client assignments and meet statutory deadlines.

- Good attention to detail, analytical skills, and a responsible approach to work.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in a CA firm, tax consultancy, or accounting firm.

- Basic knowledge of GST returns and compliance.

- Familiarity with tax notices, return corrections, and tax-related documentation.

Important: Candidates with strong practical experience in TDS and ITR will be given preference over candidates whose experience is primarily in GST.
