**Position:** Accountant – Taxation

## Job Summary

The Accountant – Taxation will be responsible for managing all taxation and statutory compliance related to construction projects. The role includes handling GST related to construction billing, subcontractor payments, TDS compliance, and maintaining tax records in accordance with government regulations.

# Key Responsibilities

## 1. GST Compliance (Construction Projects)

* Preparation and filing of **GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9)**.

* Verification of **GST on RA Bills, Client Invoices, and Subcontractor Bills**.

* Monitoring and reconciliation of **Input Tax Credit (ITC)**.

* Handling **GST reconciliation with books and GST portal**.

* Managing **reverse charge mechanism (RCM)** where applicable.

## 2. TDS Compliance

* Deduction of **TDS on subcontractors, suppliers, and professionals**.

* Filing of **quarterly TDS returns (24Q, 26Q)**.

* Issuing **Form 16 / 16A** to vendors and employees.

* Reconciliation with **Form 26Q and TRACES portal**.

## 3. Project Billing & Contractor Payments

* Verification of **RA Bills and Client billing**.

* Checking **GST applicability on construction contracts**.

* Monitoring **subcontractor billing and tax deductions**.

## 4. Income Tax Compliance

* Preparation of **tax computation and advance tax calculations**.

* Assistance in **income tax return filing**.

* Handling **tax notices and compliance responses**.

## 5. Audit & Documentation

* Preparing documents for **GST audit, statutory audit, and tax audit**.

* Maintaining **proper tax records and documentation for projects**.

* Coordinating with **CA, tax consultants, and auditors**.

## 6. Compliance Monitoring

* Ensuring compliance with:

* **GST laws for construction contracts**

* **TDS provisions**

* **Professional Tax**

* **Labour cess and statutory deductions**

# Qualifications

* **B.Com / M.Com**

* **CA Inter / CMA Inter preferred**

# Experience

* **3–8 years experience in construction or infrastructure companies**.

* Experience handling **project-based accounting and taxation**.

# Technical Skills

* Knowledge of **GST rules for construction industry**.

* Experience in **Tally / ERP / Construction accounting software**.

* Strong **Excel skills for reconciliation and reports**.

* Strong understanding of **construction billing and taxation**.

* Attention to detail in **RA bill verification and tax compliance**.

* Ability to coordinate with **site teams, accounts team, and consultants**.
