We are looking for an Taxation Accountant to join our team at at Abhishek Shankar Agarwal & Associates. The role involves managing financial transactions of the organization, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The position offers ₹20000 - ₹30000 and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.)
Handle GST registration, amendments, and cancellations
Maintain accurate records of invoices and tax-related documents
Reconcile input tax credit (ITC) with purchase data and returns
Ensure timely payment of GST liabilities
Respond to GST notices and departmental queries
Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants
Keep updated with changes in GST laws and compliance rules
Assist in GST audits and assessments
Verify tax invoices and ensure proper GST application
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of GST laws and compliance in India
Proficiency in accounting software like Tally, Busy Accounting Software, or Zoho Books
Good understanding of MS Excel
Attention to detail and accuracy
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field
CA Inter / CMA Inter (preferred but not mandatory)
1–5 years of experience in GST or taxation roles
Key Responsibilities:
Handling GST litigation matters including:
Drafting replies to Show Cause Notices (SCNs)
Preparing submissions for departmental audits and investigations
Representation before GST authorities such as:
Adjudicating Authority
Appellate Authority
Managing appeals, rectifications, and revisions under GST law
Conducting legal research on Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 and related rules
Interpreting notifications, circulars, and case laws
Drafting legal opinions and advisory notes for clients
Coordinating with clients for documentation and case preparation
Maintaining litigation trackers and compliance calendars
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified CA / CMA / LLB or semi-qualified candidates Or CA dropout
Strong knowledge of GST law and procedures
Good drafting and analytical skills
Familiarity with GST portal and compliance processes
Ability to interpret legal provisions and case laws
Strong communication and client-handling skills.
