Tally Support Executive / Tally Functional Consultant
Role Description
As a Tally Support Executive, you will be responsible for providing functional and technical support for Tally and allied products to Soft-Tech’s clients. The role involves understanding client queries, troubleshooting Tally issues, conducting installations/upgrades, and training users on effective usage of Tally. You will act as the primary contact for customer support, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of Tally solutions for clients. This support will be Online + Onsite.
Qualifications
Must Have:
● Graduate in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, IT, or related field.
Good to Have:
● Certification in Tally software.
● Diploma/Certification in ERP support or IT systems.
Experience
Must Have:
● 1–3 years of experience in Tally support / ERP support / IT helpdesk.
● Hands-on experience with Tally Prime (installation, troubleshooting, data migration, user support).
Good to Have:
● Experience in handling Tally customization requirements.
● Exposure to TDL (Tally Definition Language).
● Experience in training end-users.
Key Skills
Must Have:
● Strong knowledge of Tally Prime (functional & basic technical aspects).
● Understanding of accounting principles & GST compliance.
● Analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to handle client queries via phone, email, and onsite visits.
● Fair knowledge of accounting concepts:
Trial Balance / Balance Sheet / Profit & Loss
GST concepts
TDS concepts
TCS concepts
Bank Reconciliation concepts
MSME Regulations
Good to Have:
● Familiarity with TDL scripting/customization.
● Knowledge of SQL databases & data backup/restoration.
● Experience in ERP support for SMEs/MSMEs.
● Knowledge of:
Differences in Trading, Manufacturing, Export, Import, Local Transactions, Forex Transactions (Forex Gain/Loss)
Connected Solutions in TP 6.x
Key Responsibilities
● Provide functional & technical support for Tally Prime users.
● Handle installation, activation, licensing, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
● Address GST, accounting, and compliance-related queries in Tally.
● Conduct client training sessions for Tally users.
● Ensure timely response and resolution of customer tickets.
● Maintain documentation of support cases and resolutions.
● Coordinate with Tally development/customization teams when required.
● Conduct webinars/seminars to educate users.
