
Core responsibilities
Data Entry: Recording all financial transactions such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
Billing and Invoicing: Creating and issuing invoices and debit/credit notes to customers.
Bank Reconciliation: Matching company records with bank statements and processing online banking transactions.
Inventory Management: Tracking stock movement, managing inventory levels, and generating reports.
Tax and Compliance: Calculating and recording taxes like GST and TDS, and generating necessary reports.
Payroll: Managing salaries, bonuses, deductions, and related calculations like PF and ESI.
Financial Reporting: Generating key financial statements, such as the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and trial balance.
Auditing: Assisting with internal and external audits and maintaining proper documentation.
Data Security: Performing regular data backups and ensuring secure access to financial records.
Essential skills and qualifications
Proficiency in Tally ERP software is a must.
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Familiarity with tax regulations, such as GST and TDS.
Proficiency in other software, such as MS Excel, is often required.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
Good communication and organizational skills.
A background in commerce or accounting, such as a B.Com or M.Com degree, is often preferred.
