Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Account Executive with strong hands-on experience in Tally to handle day-to-day accounting, billing, and financial operations in our growing IT/software company. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate books, timely invoicing, GST compliance, and support month-end closings. This role suits someone who is accurate, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform daily accounting entries, voucher processing, and ledger maintenance in Tally ERP (Prime/ERP 9 or latest).

- Prepare and send client quotations, invoices, debit/credit notes, and follow up on payments/receivables.

- Raise and track Purchase Orders (POs), verify vendor bills, process vendor payments, and manage accounts payable.

- Handle GST compliance: invoice generation with proper GST, monthly return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), input tax credit reconciliation, and e-way bill management.

- Conduct bank reconciliations, petty cash management, and expense tracking.

- Assist in monthly/quarterly/yearly financial closings, trial balance preparation, and basic MIS reporting.

- Coordinate with external CA/auditors for statutory filings and audits.

- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely compliance with all accounting standards.

- Support ad-hoc finance tasks and team coordination.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com preferred) or equivalent.

- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in accounting roles, with proven expertise in Tally ERP (mandatory – must handle entries, invoicing, GST, reports independently).

- Strong knowledge of GST rules, TDS, and basic income tax concepts.

- Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas) and Google Sheets.

- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills.

- Good communication skills (English + local language).

- Honest, discreet (handles confidential financial data), and able to work independently with deadlines.

Preferred Qualities

- Experience in IT/services/software company or similar industry.

- Familiarity with basic payroll or HR accounting entries is a plus.

- Quick learner, proactive, and team-oriented.
