Role Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented E-commerce Accountant who will be responsible for end-to-end accounting, marketplace reconciliation, GST compliance, inventory valuation, and MIS reporting. The role requires strong control over marketplace settlements and coordination with internal operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Accounting Operations

• Record daily sales, returns, cancellations marketplace-wise

• Update bank entries and marketplace wallet balances

• Maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally / accounting software

• Record expenses and petty cash transactions

2. Marketplace Reconciliation

• Reconcile Amazon, Flipkart & Meesho settlement reports

• Validate commissions, shipping charges, GST, refunds, and penalties

• Identify short payments, excess deductions, and missing reimbursements

• Coordinate with internal teams for raising and tracking cases

3. GST & Statutory Compliance

• File GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) on time

• Reconcile marketplace TCS with GST portal

• Ensure correct HSN and tax rates

• Maintain compliance records and documentation

4. Inventory & Cost Accounting

• Maintain inventory valuation (FIFO / Weighted Average)

• Match physical stock with book stock

• Identify dead stock and slow-moving inventory

• Calculate accurate landed cost per SKU (imports, freight, duty)

5. Import Accounting

• Record supplier invoices, freight, customs duty, and clearing charges

• Track advance payments to overseas suppliers

• Support costing and pricing decisions

6. Expense & Vendor Management

• Verify courier, packaging, warehouse, and utility bills

• Track vendor payments and due dates

• Avoid duplicate or incorrect payments

7. Payroll & HR Accounting

• Process salaries and incentives

• Manage PF, ESIC, and statutory deductions (if applicable)

• Maintain payroll records

8. MIS & Management Reporting

• Prepare monthly MIS reports:

  • Profit & Loss

  • Cash Flow

  • SKU-wise margin

  • Marketplace-wise performance

• Provide insights on loss-making products and high-cost areas
