Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Manager to lead our accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial accounting, GST compliance, statutory taxation, financial reporting, reconciliations, audit management, transport & logistics accounting operations, and advanced Excel reporting and analysis. This role requires exceptional analytical abilities, accuracy, integrity, and the capability to support strategic financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.

• Maintain accurate books of accounts using Tally ERP 9.

• Prepare and file GST returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, and other statutory filings.

• Ensure timely GST reconciliation and compliance with applicable tax regulations.

• Perform bank reconciliations, ledger reconciliations, and account verification.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Finalize accounts and prepare the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and Cash Flow Statement.

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during statutory, tax, and financial audits.

• Maintain accounting records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.

• Prepare MIS reports, financial reports, and management dashboards using Advanced Excel tools (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, MIS automation, data analysis, and reporting models).

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.

• Provide financial analysis and support management in business decision-making.

• Coordinate with banks, consultants, auditors, and government authorities whenever required.

• Manage and oversee transportation and logistics-related accounting, including freight billing, vendor settlements, and logistics cost tracking.

• Ensure proper reconciliation of transport invoices, freight charges, and logistics expenses.

• Guide and mentor junior accounting staff while ensuring efficient departmental operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Master's degree (M.Com or MBA in Finance) or professional accounting qualifications will be an added advantage.

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.

• Prior experience in export-import, manufacturing, or logistics industries will be preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Tally ERP 9.

• In-depth knowledge of GST compliance, GST return filing, and GST reconciliation.

• Strong understanding of TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.

• Experience in sales accounting and purchase accounting.

• Expertise in bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.

• Experience preparing financial statements and Balance Sheets.

• Knowledge of audit procedures and financial compliance.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, MIS reporting, data analysis, formulas, dashboards, and automation tools).

• Experience in transport and logistics accounting, freight management, and cost tracking.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of accounting standards and taxation laws.

• Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.

• Experience managing accounts for multiple business entities will be an added advantage.

• Exposure to logistics coordination, freight reconciliation, and transport vendor management.
