Key duties involve reconciling daily cash/stock, managing accounts payable/receivable, preparing financial statements (P&L, balance sheets), and using accounting software like Tally etc.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Stock Accounting: Tracking precious metals and stones, bar coding, and managing stock-in-trade.
Day-to-Day Accounting: Managing daily sales, purchases, cash inward/outward, and gold melting records.
Taxation & Compliance: Handling GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), e-invoicing, TDS, and statutory audits.
Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly/yearly financial statements, MIS reports, and budgeting for raw material volatility.
