PURCHASE EXECUTIVE
A Purchase Executive manages the entire procurement cycle: sourcing & negotiating with suppliers, ensuring timely & cost-effective delivery of goods/services, maintaining inventory, handling purchase orders, resolving issues, and keeping records, all while aligning purchases with company needs, quality standards, and budgets, requiring strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Selection: Research and identify potential suppliers, evaluating them on price, quality, and reliability.
Negotiation: Secure best terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors.
Order Management: Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage discrepancies (non-delivery, damage).
Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, forecast needs, and place replenishment orders to prevent stockouts.
Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, resolving issues efficiently.
Internal Collaboration: Work with other departments (production, finance) to understand needs and plan procurement.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate purchase records, invoices, and generate cost analysis reports.
Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and regulations.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Admin, or related field.
Experience: Proven experience in procurement/purchasing.
Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge: Understanding of supply chain procedures, purchasing software (like SAP), and market trends.
