Product SME Credit Underwriting Department None Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Subject Matter Expert cum Product Manager in Credit Underwriting to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of credit underwriting products, credit processes, and credit policies, while also demonstrating the ability to simplify complex concepts for various stakeholders. This role requires a self-driven individual who can work independently and effectively pitch our credit underwriting solutions to clients. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on credit underwriting products, providing insights and guidance throughout the product lifecycle. Maintain a thorough understanding of credit processes and credit policies to ensure compliance and best practices in product development and client interactions. Articulate complex credit underwriting concepts, methodologies, and processes in a simplified manner to facilitate understanding among clients and internal teams. Conduct product demonstrations, showcasing the functionality and benefits of our credit underwriting solutions to potential clients. Support the pre-sales process by collaborating with sales teams to address client inquiries and provide detailed product knowledge specific to credit underwriting. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes impacting credit underwriting. Drive product enhancements based on client feedback and market research to ensure our credit underwriting offerings remain competitive and effective. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and sales to ensure product alignment with market needs and client requirements. Qualifications: MBA in Finance / CA / CFA is required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Credit Underwriting in a bank Strong understanding of credit underwriting assessment methodologies, risk evaluation, credit processes, and credit policies. Background in Computer Science or experience in Product Management or Business Analyst roles is preferred, though subject matter expertise is paramount. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage clients effectively. Proven ability to work independently with limited oversight Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
