The Cashier cum Sales Executive is responsible for handling billing transactions, assisting customers, and driving retail sales at the bakery outlet. The role ensures accurate cash handling, excellent customer service, product display, and smooth front-end operations, while maintaining hygiene and product quality standards
Key Responsibilities
A. Billing & Cash Handling
Operate billing counter and POS system efficiently
Generate accurate bills for all customer purchases
Handle cash, UPI, card, and other payment modes
Maintain proper cash balance and submit daily collections
Prepare and maintain daily cash report and billing summary
B. Sales & Customer Service
Greet customers and assist them in selecting bakery products
Promote products, combos, and seasonal offers to increase sales
Provide product information including ingredients, freshness, and pricing
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through courteous service
Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
C. Product Display & Merchandising
Ensure attractive display of bakery products in shelves and counters
Maintain product labelling, pricing, and expiry visibility
Refill display counters regularly with fresh stock
Monitor product freshness and remove expired or damaged items
D. Inventory & Stock Support
Assist in stock counting and inventory tracking
Inform supervisor about low stock or fast-moving items
Ensure proper storage and handling of products
E. Hygiene & Store Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness of billing counter and display area
Follow food safety and hygiene practices
Ensure personal hygiene standards are maintained
F. Reporting & Coordination
Maintain daily sales and billing records
Coordinate with Bakery Supervisor for stock replenishment
Report any discrepancies in billing, cash, or stock
