Costing Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Costing Accountant to manage product costing, inventory accounting, production costing, and cost analysis across our operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in monitoring material consumption, analyzing cost variances, ensuring inventory accuracy, and supporting management with actionable cost reports to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Prepare and maintain accurate product costing and recipe costing for all products.

✅ Monitor production costs, material consumption, wastage, and yield analysis.

✅ Perform inventory accounting, stock valuation, and cost allocations as per company policies.

✅ Conduct cost variance analysis and identify gaps between standard and actual costs.

✅ Reconcile inventory records with physical stock and investigate discrepancies.

✅ Analyze raw material consumption and monitor inventory movements across branches and production units.

✅ Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly costing reports for management review.

✅ Support budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis for products and operations.

✅ Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, and Finance teams to ensure accurate cost data.

✅ Develop and maintain Excel-based costing models, reports, and dashboards.

✅ Ensure accuracy of costing data within ERP systems and support process improvements.

Qualification & Experience

🎓 B.Com, M.Com, CMA, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification.

📅 3 to 6+ years of experience in Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Manufacturing, Food Production, FMCG, Hospitality, or Retail Operations.

Preferred Experience

✅ Experience in Food Manufacturing, Bakery, Restaurant Chains, FMCG, or Hospitality industries.

✅ Hands-on experience with ERP systems for Costing, Inventory, and Production Accounting.

✅ Strong knowledge of stock reconciliation, consumption tracking, and profitability analysis.
