CA Firm Intern / Article Assistant

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented CA Intern / Article Assistant to join our Chartered Accountancy practice. The candidate will get practical exposure to Income Tax, GST, Accounting, Audits, TDS, ROC compliances and other professional assignments.
The role is suitable for a CA student who wants to develop strong practical knowledge and gain hands-on experience in handling client assignments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Income Tax
Assist in preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns for individuals, firms and companies.
Assist in preparation of tax computations and reconciliation of Form 26AS, AIS and TIS.
Assist in handling Income Tax notices and assessment-related work.
Conduct basic tax research and assist in preparing tax working papers.
2. GST
Assist in preparation and filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other GST returns.
Perform reconciliation of purchase registers with GSTR-2B.
Assist in GST registration, amendments and cancellation applications.
Assist in preparation of replies to GST notices and other GST-related assignments.
3. Accounting
Assist in bookkeeping and accounting using Tally / accounting software.
Pass accounting entries and maintain ledgers.
Assist in bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.
4. Audit & Assurance
Assist in statutory audits, tax audits and internal audits.
Verify vouchers, invoices, bank statements and other supporting documents.
Assist in preparation of audit working papers and schedules.
Perform basic ledger scrutiny and analytical review.
5. TDS & Other Compliances
Assist in preparation and filing of TDS returns.
Assist in TDS reconciliation and correction statements.
Support various MCA/ROC and other statutory compliance assignments.
Assist in preparation of professional documents, letters and client communications.
Skills Required
Basic understanding of Accounting, Income Tax and GST.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
Knowledge of Tally Prime will be an advantage.
Good analytical and numerical skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Willingness to learn and take responsibility for assigned work.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Candidate
CA Foundation / Intermediate student.
Commerce graduate pursuing CA.
Candidates who have completed B.Com / M.Com and are interested in taxation and accounting may also apply.
