Associate - Indirect Tax Compliance

Associate 2-SUT Compliance Job details • Proposed designation Associate 2 • Role type Individual contributor • Reporting to Assistant Manager / Manager • Geo to be supported US • Work timings 8 AM to 5 PM (May differ depending on the profile) Roles & responsibilities: The position in discussion is with the SUT Compliance team in Indirect Tax Service line at KPMG Global Services (KGS). This role is an integral part of the firm’s strategy to enhance innovation, • Preparation and Filing Indirect Tax returns for KPMG US clients. Processing Tax Bills, Value Notices, completing registration forms and logging notices from multiple Jurisdiction. • Work on multiple client engagements to collect data and update the compliance management systems for indirect tax. • Researching state and local indirect tax legislation and assisting with drafting client responses and memo preparation. • Assisting with billing preparation and account reconciliation. • Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline workflow. • Educational qualifications • Minimum master’s degree from reputable universities with excellent academic result, majoring n Accounting or Finance. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel). • Understanding of indirect taxes, 0 – 2 years of experience in Indirect Taxation. • Work experience • Total Experience- 0-2 years • Relevant Experience- 0-2 years in Indirect Taxation.
