Assistant Manager - Accounting Advisory Services

Assistant Manager We are a leading professional services firm comprising professionals working together to deliver value globally in various countries through in-depth industry insights in Audit, Tax and Advisory. The position in discussion is with the Deal Advisory team at KPMG Global Services (KGS), which is KPMG's global delivery centre and is an integral part of the firm's strategy to enhance innovation, build scalability, and improve profitability, globally. KGS DA has been providing solutions to KPMG member firms globally. Leveraging insights and applying best practices, the team helps create customized approaches to M&A transactions. The team's capabilities include Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Strategy, Business Modeling, Accounting Advisory Services, Deal Advisory Research and Benchmarking. Work as a key member of the growing Accounting Advisory Services team. The team provides specialist accounting and financial reporting advice to clients across a range of areas wlthin the IFRS, SWISS GAAP and US GAAP framework. Projects focus on the application of IFRS / US GAAP / Swiss GAAP technical accounting— in particular accounting policy conversions and GAAP analysis, preparation of financial statements or carve out accounts, merger and acquisitions, implementation support for new standards, group restructurings, and training. Candidates must have strong IFRS and / Or US GAAP accounting knowledge and experience. It is preferable (but not a mandate) that those experiences were gathered on advisory or consulting engagements rather than assurance engagements. • Advising clients on the application of new and existing accounting standards such as IFRS, Swiss GAAP, US GAAP. • Assessing the impact of relatively newer accounting standards (primarily IFRS 18, IFRS 19, other amendments etc). • Supporting transaction teams with IFRS 3 analysis and model reviews with relevant accounting frameworks. • Supporting the client with GAAP conversion Providing accounting support to identify implications of business reorganisation plans. • Assessing the accounting impact of any change in the operation of an organisation. • Working with other teams within KPMG such as deal advisory/tax to provide technical accounting support on cross-functional engagements (e.g. due diligence). • Development and delivery of client workshops and accounting training to clients and internal KPMG teams. Helping grow our business through building and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and KPMG individuals. • Contributing to practice and risk management, including thought leadership and business development activities. • Education / professional qualification: CA / CPA / ACCA Strong technical accounting experience with IFRS / US GAAP • Experience working within accounting advisory team of a professional services firm is desirable but not essential. • Detailed knowledge of IFRS. Swiss and US GAAP experience is desirable. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Team player, self-driven and ability to work independently as well as able to motivate team members CA / CPA / ACCA Strong technical accounting experience with IFRS / US GAAP Experience Level Mid Level
