About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant to support our Accounts and Finance Department. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of accounting principles, GST compliance, bookkeeping, and day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions.
Prepare and record purchase, sales, receipt, and payment entries.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.
Assist in GST calculations, return preparation, and compliance.
Prepare invoices, debit notes, and credit notes.
Verify bills, vouchers, and supporting documents.
Maintain vendor and customer account records.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Support statutory audits and internal audits.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
Coordinate with other departments for financial data and documentation.
Required Skills
Knowledge of Accounting Principles and Bookkeeping.
Working knowledge of GST and TDS.
Proficiency in MS Excel.
Experience with accounting software such as Tally Prime.
Good numerical and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Educational Qualification
B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
Additional accounting certifications will be an advantage.
Experience
1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of PF, ESIC, and payroll processing.
Experience in preparing MIS reports.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
