Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
Maintain books of accounts (general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable).
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
Monitor daily financial transactions, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Ensure accuracy of financial records and timely closing of accounts.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
Prepare and monitor annual budgets and monthly expense forecasts.
Analyze variance reports and control unnecessary expenditure.
Support management in strategic financial planning.
3. Taxation & Compliance
Ensure GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance.
Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits.
File monthly/quarterly returns and handle tax assessments or notices.
4. Banking & Treasury Management
Manage cash flow, bank reconciliation, and fund utilization.
Liaise with banks for vehicle financing, dealer credit lines, and LC/BG operations.
Oversee collection and disbursement processes efficiently.
5. Dealership / Automobile Specific Responsibilities
Track vehicle purchase, sales, and stock accounting.
Manage dealer incentive claims, warranty reimbursements, and credit notes.
Handle receivables from customers and payments to manufacturers.
Coordinate with sales, service, and spare parts departments for financial updates.
