Core responsibilities
Financial reporting and analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Perform financial analysis to support decision-making and provide insights to management.
Accounting operations: Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including the accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Budgeting and forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts. Monitor expenditures to ensure they align with the budget.
Taxation and compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including the calculation and timely filing of tax returns (e.g., VAT, CST).
Audit support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors and assist in the preparation and submission of audit-related information.
Record keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including fixed asset registers and supporting documentation.
Process improvement: Implement and maintain effective financial controls and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance and accounts department
