Role Overview

The Senior Accounts & Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial health by managing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and strategic financial planning. The role requires strong leadership, analytical capabilities, and a deep understanding of financial regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

• Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.

2. Accounting Operations

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.

• Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards.

• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial transactions.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting.

• Track budget performance and recommend corrective actions.

• Provide variance analysis and financial projections.

4. Compliance & Audit

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax laws, and regulatory standards.

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audits and assessments.

• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and risk management processes.

5. Taxation

• Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance (GST, Income Tax, etc.).

• Ensure timely filing of returns and adherence to applicable laws.

• Liaise with tax consultants and authorities as required.

6. Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.

• Allocate responsibilities and monitor performance.

• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

7. Strategic Support

• Support senior management in financial planning and strategy formulation.

• Evaluate investment opportunities, cost optimization, and profitability.

• Provide financial insights for business expansion and growth initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (CA / CPA / MBA Finance preferred).

• Minimum 4–12 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial regulations.

• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
