We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting and compliance activities of a Chartered Accountancy firm. The candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, GST and TDS compliance, payroll processing, client coordination, fee follow-ups, and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities :
Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain books of accounts in Tally/Accounting Software.
Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
Perform bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny.
Prepare periodic MIS and financial reports.
GST Compliance
Preparation and filing of monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).
GST reconciliation with books and GST portal.
Follow up with clients for GST data and documents.
Assist in GST notices, assessments, and departmental communications.
TDS Compliance
Deduction and accounting of TDS as per applicable provisions.
Preparation and filing of quarterly TDS returns.
TDS reconciliation and issuance of Form 16/16A.
Tracking due dates and ensuring timely compliance.
Payroll Management
Processing monthly payroll for firm employees.
Calculation of salaries, deductions, PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and reimbursements.
Preparation of salary slips and payroll reports.
Maintenance of employee payroll records.
Client Coordination
Regular follow-up with clients for accounting records and compliance documents.
Fee collection and outstanding payment follow-up.
Maintaining client database and engagement records.
Handling routine client queries and providing updates on compliance status.
Administrative Support
Managing office records and compliance calendars.
Assisting partners and managers in operational activities.
Supporting audit and taxation assignments as required.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of Accounting, GST, TDS, and Payroll.
Working knowledge of Tally Prime, Zoho, Excel, and MS Office.
Familiarity with Income Tax and GST portals.
Strong communication and follow-up skills.
Good organizational and documentation skills.
