About RentOPC Technologies
RentOPC Technologies is a growing technology business operating in the IT hardware and rental space. Through RENTOPC.com, the company provides refurbished laptops and IT rental solutions to individuals, startups and businesses across India.
As the business grows, maintaining accurate and properly reconciled financial records is critical.
Our day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting entries are handled by our in-house team. We are therefore looking for an experienced professional whose primary responsibility will be to independently reconcile, verify and audit the financial and statutory records prepared by our internal team.
This is a role for someone who is strong at finding discrepancies and making sure everything ultimately matches.
About the Role
This is not a bookkeeping position.
The selected candidate will be responsible for comprehensive reconciliation across:
Books → Bank → GST → GSTR-2B → GST Returns → TDS → TCS → Purchases → Sales → Expenses → Receipts → Payments → Ledgers
The objective is to ensure that every important number in our books is accurate, explainable, reconciled and supported by the corresponding transaction or external record.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete reconciliation of books of accounts with relevant external records.
- Bank reconciliation and investigation of all unreconciled entries.
- GST reconciliation, including purchase/input and sales/output records.
- Reconciliation of books with GSTR-2B, GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and other applicable GST records.
- Identify GST mismatches, missing invoices, duplicate entries, credit/debit note differences and ITC discrepancies.
- TDS reconciliation with books, challans, returns and applicable government records.
- TCS reconciliation with books and applicable statutory records.
- Reconcile purchases, sales, expenses, receipts and payments.
- Review ledger balances and identify unexplained differences.
- Check accounting entries prepared by the in-house team for correctness and proper classification.
- Identify errors, omissions, duplicate entries and incorrect accounting treatment.
- Trace discrepancies to their source and ensure appropriate corrective action.
- Review trial balance, receivables, payables and other significant balances.
- Ensure that the books remain accurate, properly reconciled and audit-ready.
- Report significant discrepancies and compliance issues to management.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience is mandatory.
- No specific educational qualification is required. Practical experience and knowledge will be given greater importance.
- Strong hands-on experience in accounts reconciliation.
- Excellent knowledge of GST, TDS and TCS reconciliation.
- Strong experience in bank and ledger reconciliation.
- Ability to independently investigate discrepancies and follow them through to resolution.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and the financial/tax impact of accounting entries.
- Experience with Tally or other accounting software preferred.
- Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who does not simply check whether an entry exists — but checks whether the entire transaction actually reconciles.
If there is a difference between the books and the bank, GST portal, TDS/TCS records, invoices or any other supporting record, you should be able to find it, understand it, explain it and ensure it gets resolved.
Important
Bookkeeping is already handled by our in-house team.
This position is primarily responsible for:
RECONCILIATION + VERIFICATION + AUDIT REVIEW + DISCREPANCY IDENTIFICATION + COMPLIANCE CHECK
The ideal candidate should have 6+ years of practical experience and be confident handling complete financial reconciliation independently.
