Job Description – Accountant

Role Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions of the hospital, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting billing reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain daily accounting entries including receipts, payments, and journal entries.

- Manage hospital cash collections, bank deposits, and payment tracking.

- Reconcile billing data with accounts and payment receipts.

- Maintain vendor payment records and coordinate for timely payments.

- Prepare daily and monthly financial reports.

- Support GST documentation and basic compliance requirements.

- Maintain expense records and verify supporting documents.

- Coordinate with management for financial tracking and reporting.

- Maintain accounting records in accounting software (Tally or similar systems).

Key Skills

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles

- Experience with accounting software such as Tally

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Good analytical and financial tracking ability

- Basic knowledge of GST and financial documentation

Qualifications

- B.Com / M.Com preferred

- 1–3 years experience in accounting or finance role

- Experience in hospital or healthcare accounting preferred

Finance Manager / Hospital Unit Head
