Job Summary

We are looking for a sincere, detail-oriented and responsible Junior Accountant to support our Senior Accountant in day-to-day accounting and finance activities.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accounting records, entering purchase and sales transactions, preparing basic reconciliations, maintaining supporting documents and assisting the Senior Accountant in regular accounting and statutory work.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily accounting entries in Tally / accounting software

• Purchase and sales invoice entry

• Purchase order and sales order-related accounting work

• Bank entries and bank reconciliation

• Cash book and petty cash management

• Ledger posting and checking

• Debtors and creditors ledger reconciliation

• Follow-up for pending bills, invoices and supporting documents

• Maintaining proper filing of invoices, vouchers and accounting documents

• Assisting the Senior Accountant in GST-related data preparation

• Assisting with TDS-related accounting and records

• Preparing basic reports and statements as required

• Checking invoices for basic accounting and GST details

• Assisting in monthly closing activities

• Coordinating with purchase, sales, stores and administration departments for accounting documents

• Supporting the Senior Accountant during audits and statutory requirements

• Maintaining confidentiality of company financial information

• Performing other accounting-related tasks assigned by the Senior Accountant

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of Accounting principles

• Working knowledge of Tally Prime

• Basic understanding of GST

• Basic knowledge of TDS

• Good knowledge of MS Excel

• Good numerical and calculation skills

• Ability to reconcile and identify differences

• Good attention to detail

• Good documentation and filing skills

• Willingness to learn and take responsibility

• Good communication and coordination skills

Qualification

B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) or equivalent.

Suggested Salary

₹12,000 – ₹20,000 per month, depending on qualification, experience and accounting knowledge.
