Job Summary
The Assistant Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining financial records, processing invoices, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company accounting policies and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documents.
Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, and payment vouchers.
Prepare and update cash book, bank book, and ledger entries.
Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
Reconcile bank statements and vendor/customer accounts.
Prepare GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance data as required.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
Generate MIS reports and financial statements for management review.
Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with customers.
Maintain employee reimbursement and expense records.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documents.
Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records.
Coordinate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding accounting matters.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.
1–3 years of experience in accounting and finance.
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
Experience with Tally ERP, Busy, SAP, or other accounting software.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
