Roles and Responsibilities
1. Daily Accounting Tasks
Record day-to-day financial transactions (purchases, expenses, receipts)
Maintain cash book, bank book, and petty cash
Enter data into accounting software (like Tally,.)
Verify invoices and bills before posting
2. Accounts Payable (Payments)
Process vendor and subcontractor bills
Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes
Prepare payment schedules
Ensure timely payments to suppliers and contractors
3. Accounts Receivable (Collections)
Generate client invoices based on project milestones
Track incoming payments from clients
Follow up on outstanding dues
Maintain customer ledgers
4. Site & Project Accounting
Track project-wise expenses and budgets
Record labor, material, and equipment costs
Coordinate with site engineers for expense details
Help in cost control and budget monitoring
5. GST & Tax Compliance (India-specific)
Assist in GST invoice preparation
Maintain purchase and sales registers
Support GST return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B)
Ensure proper tax deductions (TDS)
