Position Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations for the jewellery showroom, including sales/purchase entries, stock tracking in grams and carats, GST support, cash/bank management, and inventory documentation. This role requires strong accuracy, familiarity with jewellery accounting, and hands-on experience in Tally or Jewellery ERP software.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily sales, purchase, receipts, and payment entries in Tally / Jewellery ERP.

Maintain cash book, bank book, and customer/supplier ledgers.

• Verify daily showroom collections and update the system accordingly.

Assist in monthly closing activities.

• Maintain gold, diamond, and silver stock records (weight, purity, wastage).

• Enter stock inward & outward transactions (grams, carats).

• Support inventory counting, tag-wise verification, and stock audits.

• Record old gold exchange transactions, making charges, wastage, and repair orders

• Prepare GST & filing

• Assist in GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filing.

• Prepare bank reconciliation statements (BRS).

• Track cash deposits, withdrawals, UPI/online payments.

• Verify vendor invoices and maintain proper documentation

Required Skills & Competencies

• Minimum 1 year experience as an Accountant in the Jewellery industry (mandatory).

• Proficiency in Tally ERP / Jewellery POS or ERP software.

• Good understanding of gold/diamond inventory, purity, weight & making charges.

• Strong Excel skills (SUM, VLOOKUP, Pivot preferred).

• High accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

• Good communication and documentation skills.

Education

B.Com / M.Com or equivalent in Accounting/Finance.

• It is a Full Time అకౌంటెంట్ job for candidates with 6 months - 2 years of experience.
