United Media Computers (UMC), a printing and packaging company based in Chandigarh, is hiring a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate, compliant bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will handle accounting entries, statutory compliance, and financial reporting with precision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records — purchases, sales, receipts, and payments

• Prepare and manage invoices, bills, and payment vouchers

• Handle bank reconciliation and cash flow tracking

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Ensure timely statutory compliance — GST, TDS, PF, ESI filings

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books

• Prepare financial statements and MIS reports for management

• Coordinate with auditors during internal/external audits

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records

• Liaise with vendors, clients, and banks for financial matters

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in manufacturing/printing industry

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com preferred)

• Proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime and MS Excel

• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping

• Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: upto 30k

Schedule:

• Day shift

• Monday to Saturday
