Required Accountant for Our Company

Location: Kolkata, Chandi Chawk

Experience: 2-3 years

Salary: 15-18k per month in hand with ESI, PF, Yearly Bonus+ Leave Pay

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage the company’s day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate should be well versed in Tally and have hands-on experience in handling TDS filings and routine accounting entries. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial records and statutory compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

      •     Strong working knowledge of Tally

      •     Practical experience in TDS filing and compliance

      •     Good understanding of accounting principles and statutory requirements

      •     Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications

      •     High attention to detail and accuracy

      •     Ability to manage deadlines and work independently

Key Responsibilities

      •     Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally (sales, purchase, expense, bank, and journal entries)

      •     Handle TDS accounting, deductions, challans, and periodic TDS filings

      •     Prepare and file TDS returns within statutory timelines

      •     Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and compliance

      •     Assist in preparation of financial statements and reports as required

      •     Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal teams for financial matters

      •     Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations

Preferred Experience

      •     Experience in handling accounts for small to medium-sized businesses

      •     Exposure to GST compliance is an added advantage
