Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with prior experience in a Chartered Accountancy (CA) firm to join our finance team. The candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The role requires strong knowledge of taxation, audit support, and proficiency in accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate books of accounts including journals, ledgers, and trial balance.
Prepare and finalize financial statements as per accounting standards.
Handle GST, TDS, and Income Tax filings, reconciliations, and return preparation.
Assist in statutory and internal audits by providing accurate data and documentation.
Prepare and review MIS reports, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable with proper reconciliation.
Prepare working papers for tax audits and coordinate with auditors when required.
Handle bank reconciliation, vendor reconciliation, and general ledger review.
Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and deadlines.
Support in payroll accounting and monthly closing of books.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, with mandatory experience in a CA firm.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
Hands-on experience with Tally ERP / Busy / Zoho Books / Excel or similar accounting tools.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with auditors and management.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in audit documentation and compliance management.
Working knowledge of ROC filings and financial due diligence.
Exposure to multiple client accounting (preferred for CA firm background).
