Position: Assistant Manager – Accounting & Bookkeeping

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager – Accounting & Bookkeeping to join our finance team at Excellence. Key Responsibilities
· Lead and oversee the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations within the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all financial documents.
· Review and validate financial entries, working papers and supporting schedules prepared by junior accountants before submission for client and management reporting.
· Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), accounting requirements and company policies.
· Conduct quality checks and implement internal review mechanisms to ensure error-free financial statements and accounting files.
· Finalization of Monthly and Yearly Financial Statements including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet or Management report.
· Analyze and interpret complex financial data, identifying discrepancies and guiding the team toward resolution.
· Review of client management reports and internal accounting summaries, highlighting key financial trends, risks and recommendations.
· Train, mentor and supervise junior staff to ensure continuous development and performance excellence.
· Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows and financial systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
· Maintain strict confidentiality of all company and client financial data.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: B.Com, M.Com
Experience: Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or Assistant Manager role, preferably in an accounting or compliance setting.
