Job Description for Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to oversee our financial operations. In the fast-paced events and exhibition industry, you will manage project-level profitability, track material costs, and ensure smooth cash flow. You will act as a key partner to our project managers and executive team by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring strict tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Cost Accounting

• Track and reconcile all costs (fabrication, graphics, AV rentals, lighting, and manpower) against specific exhibition projects or client briefs.

• Prepare and analyze Job Costing Reports to calculate net margins for every exhibition stall.

Billing & Receivables

• Generate and dispatch accurate project estimates, proforma invoices, and tax invoices per agreed payment milestones (e.g., 50% advance, 50% upon handover).

• Follow up proactively with corporate clients and event agencies for on-time collections.

Payables & Vendor Management

• Process and reconcile vendor invoices for carpenters, electricians, freight forwarders, and freelance designers.

• Manage sub-contractor accounts, ensuring correct TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) deductions and timely payouts.

Taxation & Compliance

• Prepare and file periodic GST returns (e.g., GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), keeping track of interstate IGST for events held in different regions.

• Ensure compliance with local and national corporate tax laws.

Financial Reporting

• Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and petty cash logs on a weekly basis.

• Generate monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.

• Experience: 3 to 6 years of proven accounting experience, ideally in the event management, advertising, or construction/manufacturing industry.

• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of Purchase Orders (POs), Performa invoices, credit/debit notes, and project-based financial reporting.

• It is a Full Time అకౌంటెంట్ job for candidates with 6 months - 1 years of experience.
