Role Overview:-
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting operations, ensure statutory compliance (GST, TDS), maintain accurate ledgers for sales and expenses, and deliver timely MIS reports to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:-
Accounting & Ledger Management • Maintain and reconcile general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and trial balance. • Record journal entries for accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments. • Ensure accurate booking of sales, expenses, assets, liabilities, and inter-company transactions. • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
GST Compliance:-
• Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns; reconcile with GSTR-2B/2A. • Ensure correct classification of HSN/SAC, input tax credit (ITC) claims, and reverse charge mechanisms. • Coordinate with auditors and consultants for GST assessments and notices.
TDS & Statutory Deductions :-
• Deduct TDS at source on vendor payments, professional fees, rent, etc., as per applicable sections (e.g., 194C, 194J, 194I). • Deposit TDS by due dates and file quarterly returns (Form 24Q/26Q/27Q). • Issue TDS certificates (Form 16A) and handle vendor queries on TDS credits. • Support compliance for PF, ESIC, and other statutory deductions if applicable.
Expense & Sales Accounting :-
• Verify and book employee reimbursements, vendor bills, and operational expenses. • Reconcile credit card statements, petty cash, and bank transactions. • Maintain sales registers, issue tax-compliant invoices, and track receivables. • Coordinate with sales/operations teams to ensure revenue recognition aligns with contracts and delivery.
MIS & Reporting:-
• Prepare monthly MIS reports: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, age-wise receivables/payables, budget vs. actuals. • Build dashboards for key metrics (revenue, margins, burn rate, DSO/DPO). • Provide ad-hoc analysis for management (product-wise profitability, cost centers, project P&L).
Audit, Controls & Process Improvement:-
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal/external audits. • Implement and monitor financial controls to prevent errors and fraud. • Suggest process improvements in accounting workflows, automation, and reporting.
Required Qualifications & Skills:-
• B.com / M.com / BBA (Finance) / CA Inter (or equivalent). • 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience in an Indian company. • Strong working knowledge of Indian GAAP, GST, and TDS provisions. • Proficiency in Tally Prime / Tally ERP 9, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros), and accounting software. • Experience preparing MIS reports and presenting to management. • High accuracy, integrity, and ability to meet tight month-end deadlines. • Good communication skills for coordinating with vendors, banks, auditors, and internal teams.
