Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our growing startup. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end accounting and finance operations, including day-to-day accounting, cash flow management, MIS reporting, statutory compliance, and taxation (TDS and GST).

This role requires strong domain knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, along with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced startup or manufacturing environment. The candidate should possess good communication skills in both English and Hindi and be comfortable working closely with internal teams and external vendors, stakeholders to support business operations and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage day-to-day accounting activities including bookkeeping, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.

2. Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.

3. Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory filings, ensuring strict regulatory compliance.

4. Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.

5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records; support internal and external audit processes.

6. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis.

7. Monitor cash flow, working capital requirements, and financial risk areas.

8. Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards, company policies, and financial regulations.

9. Support fundraising activities and investor documentation with accurate financial data.

10. Optimize financial processes and contribute to building a strong financial framework for the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. (CA Inter or equivalent qualification is a strong plus.)

• 2–5 years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing, EV, engineering, or startup environment.

• Strong understanding of Indian Accounting Standards, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.

• Proficiency in Tally, Zoho Books, or similar accounting/ERP software.

• Excellent knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reporting tools).

• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and time management.

• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
